Serving is a great way to connect with others. As you work side by side to provide ministry at First Christian Church or touch the lives of others in our community, you will develop lasting friendships. There are many areas in which to serve. Our youth and children’s ministries depend on caring adults to build relationships and assist with programming. Through our missions team opportunities include such things as a neighborhood food drive, a ministry that provides assistance to people in our community with cancer or mission trips to other countries. There are a multitude of ways to serve on Sunday mornings, from greeters and musicians to nursery volunteers.
Opportunities to Serve:
In addition to providing the home to the Interfaith Works Shelter, First Christian Church also runs a Day Spa for our shelter guests. What is a day spa? It is a warm, gentle daytime space for Interfaith Works Overnight Shelter guests. There is more information available, including how you can get involved and help here. We offer a peaceful, calming, safe space for our shelter guests.
