Camp Quixote Update – Leah Wilson

Leah reported that Camp Quixote residents have had 2 weddings and a baby.  The family with the baby is now at the Salvation Army shelter.  She reminded us of the Camp Quixote fundraiser at this Friday, the 22nd,at St. John’s Episcopal Church.  The current population of the camp is down to 17.  They will soon be accepting applications for new residents.

More Gifts for church for Camp Quixote – Karen Nye

Westwood Baptist has donated $200.00 to assist in the expenses incurred by the church during Camp Quixote’s stay.  This is in addition to the previous $500.00 received last month from an anonymous donor.  The board members decided to use the new donation of $200.00 to hire Camp Quixote residents to do work around the church.  The hourly wage is $10.00.  The original $500.00 will be kept to cover additional utility charges incurred during the camp’s stay.

Personnel – Karen Nye (for Elaine Ulry who is on vacation)

Reminder:  Everyone is reminded to help close up, pick up, lock up, etc., etc., whenever you attend a meeting or event.
