Board Minutes

April 21, 2010

Our income is exceeding our expenditures at this time due to having just a part time pastor.

Search Task Force – Mark Wilton

Recommend that we call Amy Walers as our Planter Pastor. (APPROVED)
A congregational meeting will be scheduled for Sunday, May 2 for congregational vote.
Recommend that if we call Amy we pay up to $500 for her to visit early in May to search for housing. (APPROVED)

Regional Assembly delegates.

Karen reported that Jan and Don Carlson who had been approved as delegates to the Regional Assembly are not able to attend. Sherrie and Larry Fisher were nominated to fill the vacancies. (APPROVED)

Update on Family Shelter.

Karen reported that the city of Olympia has approved the Family Shelter for six months. At the end of that time a sprinkling system and wider doorways must be installed. Phil has indicated that his board must decide if they would want to invest that much money in a building that may not be available several years down the line. He indicated that a grant could possibly be obtained.

Stewardship Campaign

Mark reported that there will be Stewardship moments in worship for the next 2 Sundays. The pledge cards will be received on May 2.

Worship – Rachel Crum

Worship will be held in Koinonia Hall on April 25, May 2, May 30 and June 6. These are Sacred Discussions of the vision for our church.

Fifth Sunday Potluck

It was decided not to have a 5^th Sunday potluck in May as we just recently held a potluck for the visit of our Planter Pastor Candidate.

Property- Jim Brown

Parking lot upkeep: painting stripes, cleaning and possible coating need to be done.

The meeting closed with a prayer circle.
